Oh JESUS

The path to God is no easy; it’s tortuous and painful. Jesus Christ before attaining Godhood went through the agonizing moments. He was crucified this day more than 2000 years ago before His resurrection.

The message of love and humanity to the mankind that emerged from Jesus Christ was divine and it became the Gospel truth.

There is no parallel in Hindu religion to the Jesus Christ, yet there are a few legends that only go on to prove that anyone who tried to spread the message of God, the message of love and compassion had to go through tortuous and painful path.

I just give the example of Meera, the queen who abandoned her royalty in search of Lord Sri Krishna, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu the God. She was forced to drink poison, she was thrown out of the palace by her husmand, the king. Meera set out bare footed in search of God chanting devotional songs for Lord Sri Krishna. It is said that she finally attained the moksha or salvation.

Today being Good Friday, we all remember and pay our reverence to Jesus Christ for showing the path of love to the mankind. But how many followers of God adhere to the teachings and follow the path shown by Him, few, isn’t it. But even the few who have faith in God are enough to trounce the forces of evils, so I believe.
